Mitch GLASS

I’m Mitchell Glass, Director of MG Plumbing & Maintenance. With over 17 years of industry experience, I began my plumbing career through an apprenticeship in Darwin, later relocating to Yarrawonga, Victoria, to complete my training. Upon qualifying, I returned to Darwin in the Northern Territory, where I have continued to grow my career and refine my expertise.

My passion for plumbing is matched by my commitment to providing exceptional service to every client. As a business owner, I place a strong emphasis on building a dependable, skilled team, from management through to our on-site staff, to ensure the highest standards are consistently met across all projects.

Together with my partner Georgia, we’ve dedicated the past five years to developing strong, long-term relationships within the plumbing and construction industries. Our focus has been on maintenance and small to medium-scale commercial projects, earning a reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service.

Ryan Gorner
Commercial Plumbing Manager

Ryan Gorner serves as the Commercial Plumbing Manager at MG Plumbing & Maintenance, bringing over 20 years of industry experience, including 14 years in Australia. With deep expertise in commercial plumbing systems, Ryan leads the planning, execution, and quality assurance of all commercial projects.

He oversees a dedicated team of four commercial plumbers focused on delivering efficient, code-compliant solutions tailored to the complex requirements of commercial developments, ranging from new constructions and renovations to intricate mechanical systems. Ryan works collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure each project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest industry standards.

Whether managing large-scale installations or resolving system challenges, he is committed to providing responsive, results-driven service that supports long-term operational success for our clients.

Professional Background

Hi, I’m Ryan Gorner. I bring over two decades of experience to the plumbing industry, having started my career in Canada before relocating to Australia. I hold a Certificate IV in Plumbing and maintain full accreditation in Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV), backflow prevention, and gas fitting.

My experience spans the residential, commercial, healthcare, and defence sectors. Over the years, I’ve held key leadership positions including Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Northern Territory Manager.

Riley Johnson
Carpentry Manager

Riley Johnson is the Carpentry Manager at MG Plumbing & Maintenance, where he oversees and coordinates a dedicated team of four carpenters delivering high-quality construction, maintenance, and refurbishment projects across residential, commercial, and remote sectors.

With over a decade of industry experience, Riley brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and client satisfaction. His practical knowledge, combined with extensive hands-on experience in diverse environments, enables him to successfully manage projects from planning through to completion.

Professional Background

Hi, I’m Riley Johnson, the Carpentry Manager at MG Plumbing & Maintenance. I bring 16 years of hands-on experience in the carpentry industry. My journey commenced in Perth, Western Australia, in 2010 as an apprentice and I achieved my trade qualification in 2014. Following qualification, I quickly progressed into a Leading Hand position, supervising teams and coordinating works across a range of residential and commercial construction projects. During this time, I developed strong skills in project coordination, workforce management, quality control, and client liaison.

After two years as a Leading Hand, I relocated to Darwin, Northern Territory, where I expanded my experience by delivering refurbishment and new-build projects throughout Darwin and surrounding regional areas. My work also included projects within remote Indigenous communities, where I gained valuable experience managing construction activities in challenging and isolated environments while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and stakeholder engagement.

Leadership and Project Scope

As Carpentry Manager at MG Plumbing & Maintenance, I lead a team of skilled carpenters responsible for delivering projects in remote and regional areas, with a strong emphasis on logistical planning, workforce coordination, and adherence to relevant building codes and safety regulations.
